I would like to use this course as an opportunity to model architectural spaces very different from the designs of traditional studios and depict a fantastic world in a work of literature. Hence I will model the journey of the characters, and how different moments in the story book can be represented architecturally.
The Premise…..
As inhabitants of our world travel to Narnia, they bring with them the idea of great institutions that house the collective memory of their civilizations –museums. Fascinated by this concept the Narnians decide to erect a museum of their own to celebrate and remember the journey of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they traveled through their country and liberated them from the White Witch. This museum should allow the visitor to take the journey with the protagonists and experience emotions as well as display artifacts from their adventures. The site for the museum is on the island near Cair Paravel, in Narnia
