The aim of this course is to give
students an
insight into
the varied aspects of structures in general and architectural
structures
in particular. As architectural structures are
executed in physical materials, the
techniques of material extraction, the processes of manufacturing and
the techniques of assembling will also form part of the material
covered. The main aim of this course will be to
instill a
love for structures in students.

Evaluation
There will be a midterm and
a final exam, as well several assignments. The final course mark will be
tallied up as follows: midterm exam 20%, final exam
30 %, assignments 20%, final project
30%

The course material and
occasional announcements will be posted on this
website. The files can be large, so broadband access is a necessity.
