Mahone Bay, N.S.
Watercolour, 5" X 14"
This painting was done on the same day
as the painting of Chester. We stopped in Mahone Bay, about 10 minutes
east of Lunenburg, painted and then had lunch and looked around some of
the interesting shops, before moving to Chester. Mahone Bay is a
beautiful town known for three tall-spired churches which were among the
first in the area and are frequently a subject for artists. I chose
a different view, that of the town as viewed across the harbour, and I
am sitting across the street form the churches.
