The Islamic Studies Library forms an integral part of the Islamic Studies Institute at McGill University. The Institute focuses on the study of Islamic civilization from a historical and current perspective. The faculty and student body originate from various cultural and religious backgrounds. The library, as well as the Institute, date back to over half a century. It houses a unique collection that has grown over the years to house over 100,000 volumes.
