It is mainly used as a circulation corridor between various university buildings. To one side, there is the Brown and Shatner Buildings which are both student service/activity centres. The Leacock Building which is in the closest proximity to the site offers a number of class rooms and lecture halls for students. Morrice Hall is of great interest to the project as this is where the Insititute of Islamic Studies (as well as the Islamic Studies Library) are currently located.
