This is a compilation of quick sketches done by my colleagues when they were asked to sketch what a mosque was to them. This little excercise shows that there exists a certain pre-concieved image of what a mosque should look like. This image seems to be that of a dome sitting on a square or rectangular base with a single or mutliple minarets off to the side.
