In this exploration, a single sheet of paper is transformed through cuts and folds and made to represent the very traditional components of a mosque. The attempt is to abstract these symbols and to investigate their formal qualities. Also, the question is raised as to how much these elements serve as identity markers and how much is reserved to a more functional purpose.
