With the revival of Place des Nations also comes the revival of the circus. The form and purpose of the latter are put into question and it is proposed that the circus be brought to its original shape. By using a series of overlapping arches, the large space is divided into smaller ones. The idea of the town centre starts to dominate the architectural approach as a focal point is created in the centre of the space. This is a point at which structure, architecture and people can all come together to enjoy the spectacle. |
