In an attempt to revitalize the once heavily populated Griffintown, it is proposed to introduce an artists community that would be integrated into a new residential development in the area. The focus is to mix the everyday with the creative as an architectural design experiment into various forms. In the individual component of the project, a dance centre is proposed as a large cantilevered form under which a large public space is created. The formal concerns are that of addition and subtraction of forms. |
