It is proposed in the new Concordia Student Union building to provide a common ground for the ever growing and dynamic student union. Standing at the triangular site at the intersection of De Maisonneuve and Guy, the Student Union building will unite the various campus buildings. The main feature of the building is the curtain wall which is inspired by carpet design and weaving. The "knots" that weave the carpet are study rooms and the "wefts" that hold together the knots are the structure of the curtain wall. |
