| "This proposal targets the LAUSD's [Los Angeles Unified School District] loss of a distinct local or regional identity, consolidating and redistributing the curriculum along the spine of the Red Line Metro. Underutilized and deemed unsafe as a result, the Red Line runs through the B, E, F, G, and H school districts. By treating these districts as one large campus, and having students 'commute' from math to the library, and from recreation to social studies, etc., shortages are essentially eradicated as the total student population is uniformly distributed through a daily curriculum of metro stations and local campuses.
The school district is [thus] redefined through infrastructure and access rather than geography" [1].
