Le Corbusier

I apreciate Le Corbusier's principles and his desire to give people more outdoor spaces and the extend to which he uses the roofs as outdoor gardens.

Villa Savoye

The Villa Savoye is a wonderful demonstration of Le Corbusier's 'five points of a new architecture', which he developed in 1927, exploiting the new opportunities of reinforced concrete

Cité Radieuse

The Marseille unité d'habitation brings together Le Corbusier's vision for communal living with the needs and realities of post-war France. In his vertical village, he intended to mix different classes of people.

Again, Le Corbusier intensively uses the roof as part of the landscape. A children playground is also accomodated.
