I looked at the Griffintown as the potential area for my future site. As it was area rich in history, rapid development and its decline, I looked at some older maps in order to observe changes in city fabric. Here is 1949 map of wider area of Montreal, including Griffintown. Its dense built environment in related to the bloom in area’s industry development at the time.
