The challenge of this project was to create a building that would address the missing elements of the Cité Multimédia. A building that would try to give an identity, an autonomy to the neighbourhood; integrating at the same time the existing buildings of the site, traces of an old industrial past. The Hybrid is generated by voids / masses; an environment that tries to appeal to our senses – giving back to the old Faubourg des Recollets a green and human character. A market, a daycare, a library, and gardens: a building that aims for the well-being of the body, culture, and the mind.
