The Maison des Journalistes will house lodging facilities for a group refugee journalist as well as the technical means to create information. It will function as a self-contained diffusion machine having all necessary facilities to produce and propagate material supporting the ideologies of its inmates. It is no only the place where media information is produced, but the media itself. It is conceived as a very exposed billboard, housing, concealing, and protecting the journalists’ personal life.

The next few pages contain textual descriptions of the properties, ambiances and functions of the Maison du Journalisme’s main programmatic elements. They are organized within 5 groups reflecting their levels of privacy or visibility.

The text is illustrated by both new images and samples of previous exercises. This is done in order to make the text more understandable but also to strengthen the link between my DRM reflection process and future design issues.

A section follows, showing how all those elements relate to each other.
