The site is located on the corner of René-Lévesque and Wolfe, across the street from the CBC tower. It is open and very exposed to different viewers. (J.Cartier Brigde, R.-Lévesque Boul. smaller streets…) Each type of viewer requires a different scale of intervention and an appropriate imagery.

Most of the site exploration focuses on determining its inherent connotations. Exploring the site with a mirror permitted to evaluate the importance in the landscape of different landmarks. The CBC Tower constantly stands out while further elements like the bridge tend to blur. (1-2) A sequence of“publicities” about the surrounding built elements focuses both on their symbolic intentions and on the general feeling they provoke. (3-5)
