Idea to create a landmark: The Concordia, CMHR and Porous Zone projects all create landmarks. By landmark I don’t only mean a large visible object, but something that is enabled to become the reminder of a specific social value. When people see those buildings they are reminded of collaboration, tolerance or respect of their environment. This idea of creating an image for a social value or even a political statement truly interests me for my thesis project.
