Most of the art of J. Holzer consists in adding captions to existing settings. They can be of large scale (as giant billboards) or extremely small. (writting on one’s skin) These short texts, often absurd by themselves, become provocative and meaningful when inserted in a specific physical context. In many cases a text about very intimate issues is exposed on a very public site.
