| The procession proposed by the first work directs a passage to the viewing of the second, as should occur on the proposed site. The second work generates a gestalt reading. The abstract minimalism immediately exhausts all the information as to the relationships between the parts. The relationships are removed from the work, and simply make them a function of space, light and the viewer’s field of vision- the object here is simply one of the terms in a larger aesthetic. The object – exhausted of information – is now particularly more reflexive as it generates a greater awareness of oneself existing in relation to it. “One is more aware than before that he himself is establishing relationships as he apprehends the object from various positions and under various conditions of light and spatial context.” | |||||||
