The modern city, as a result of enormous urban growth during the industrial revolution, has pushed many of its functions outside of itself. As a result urban dwellers are often disassociated with basic cycles of consumption and waste. Current methods of waste disposal and treatment not only increase this alienation but they make it difficult to retrieve valuable resources that are present in waste. The Fungus Factory will attempt to redefine waste and bring it back to the city by creating Waste Architecture! Architecture that is made from waste, for waste.
