Earth and Stone

The first level below ground is covered with sand paper giving a texture of brick. A box filled with earth sits on this level. This box is made from an orange crate. Its construction is rough similar to wood bins used for mushroom growing. This repeating element of earth is meant to bring to mind rows of mushrooms, composting, fertilizer and to give a smell of damp earth. |
