Pavilion
The Jacques-Cartier Pavilion is located at the mouth of the Jacques-Cartier Pier and is connected to an elevated catwalk that runs along about half of the pier. The pavilion houses a food court; it may therefore be promising to work in conjunction with this pavilion. If the intervention is positioned nearby, there is the possibility of the two buildings creating a gateway to the pier, or framing the vista beyond. Currently, the pavilion is only open from May to October; its relationship to the intervention may allow it to be opened year round.
