The Jacques-Cartier Pier

The Jacques-Cartier Pier has a split personality.  In the spring and summer, it is bustling with people and activities.  Tourists stroll through, embarking on boat rides; Cirque du Soleil makes this its temporary home; the beer festival, among other events, occur here.  But all this excitement comes and goes with the seasons.  The cold weather marks the arrival of winter, and the Pier is transformed from belle of the ball to plain wallflower.
