le cocon - hideo horikawa

This restaurant is a direct reflection of its architect’s love for secluded spaces.  The bulging cavernous walls embrace the visitor and stimulate the appetite.

The basement contains pods of varying sizes which act as private dining rooms.  Like larvae in cocoons, occupants are sheltered from the outside world.  With its warm earth colours and soft lighting, diners can go through the rituals of eating in a private and intimate setting.
