The watercourse originates in a low granite basin on a terrace off the clinic playroom. Water bubbles above, spills over the basin's edge, and travels underground to emerge in a fieldstone seat wall. It then splashes into a steel-sided rill that meanders through the garden and flows into a pond. 

 

Masses of native plants frame the interior of the garden and define areas of district character. The planting creates a seemingly random pattern of intimate places and expansive areas while modulating light and shade throughout the garden.
