Project Methodology:

i. It is a given that my thesis intervention will consist of a sacred place placed into a secular setting.

ii. I will choose a sight based on its location and general interest, as well as its potential for the creative use of time, light, and structure.

iii. I will decide how my intervention will fit into the urban landscape and the City’s plans for the Lachine renovations.

iv. I will decide what rituals are inherent in the sacred and the secular, and how they will interact.

v. I will decide what relationships to time, light, and structure might be appropriate for the rituals.

vi. I will experiment with light models (keeping records), examine images with these concepts in mind, and photograph spaces that strongly display the constellation.

vii. I will decide where and what thresholds are necessary within the complex, and to the surrounding cityscape.

viii. I will design, fitting all components into an overall scheme.
