Intention: to edit out the traditionally numbing characteristics of the library Process: removal of confining and monotonous stacks, addition of a light infusion, recreation of the carrel, readoption of literature as a public art Spaces: simply, the collective and the individual. Collective
spaces encourage public and poetry readings, story-telling, gathering in
the style of an agora. Workshop

Furniture is an overwhelming aspect of the space. The collection is interspersed throughout these spaces so as to stimulate some perusal and exploration of the spaces. Necessities: reception area, circulation area, staff spaces, janitorial spaces.
