the sequence of my thesis argument:

1 - My original interest was in PLACES THAT LACK DEFINITION
2 - Translating that interest into architectural terms I started looking at the EDGE OF THE CITY
3 - Having read an article by Ignasi de Solà-Moralez led me to look for EDGE CONDITIONS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY,
which in turn led to my thesis question:
HOW TO PRESERVE THE VACANCY AND ABSENCE OF SPACES ABANDONED BY THE CITY
4 - Before having chosen a specific site or a program that could be implanted onto it and which would respond to my thesis, I started out by identifying AN APPROACH to the treatment of these abandoned spaces.
