house facade

This was purely an exploration of the facade. The site was on University street, between Milton and Prince Arthur streets. In this study was explored especially the notion of depth on the building facade.

It is a house with two seperate entrances for two sisters, one of whom has an office on the third floor with a sky light. The house appears as two seperate units that are connected in the middle by a common space for the sisters to share at the second floor. This is accentuated by the dark red brick wall. This space can be an outdoor space in the summer. The architecture of Adolf Loos was an inspiration to this project.

The entire building facade is constructed of concrete with a stone base.
