eco-building

This focus of this design was the study of the eco facade, which then generated the building. The main concept of the building is to interpret the term 'eco' as meaning ecological and economical, the latter being more to do with spacial economy.

As a consequence, the whole facade is comprised of solar panels that are blue in colour to reflect the colour of the sky. Space if often taken for granted nowadays, so the floor to ceiling height of all floors is only 7'4" with designated area within the building that have double or even triple heights. It is these areas that people would cherish the most. The ultimate area is the exterior centre of the building, which offers a quite atmosphere that has no height limits, open to the sky. Also, the roofs of floors are used to grow vegetables and fruit so that the building is self sufficient.
