The Etzion Block is were many famous biblical events occurred. from the passage to the sacrifice of Isaac, the conquest of Jerusalem by King David, the prophecy of Amos of Tekoa, the battle of the Macabees and the heroic battle of Bar Kochba against the Roman Empire
Also the death and burial of the Matriarch Rachel in her tomb adds a great connection to her and to the area.This area, for more than 3000 years has seen many of the greatest people's footsteps. The Patriarchs, the tribe of Judah, prophets and kings, and fights for freedom have left there mark. The deep yearnings for a return is one of the most important connection.
