Luke was on his smoking break in front of Discreet (formerly Discreet Logic), and was kind enough to spare a few minutes to share his experiences of working in this part of town.

The computer software company-- housed in what used to be a boiler factory-- is located just south of the thesis site in question. According to Luke, it's a bit out of the way; meals are usually delivered to the office, and transportation at night is problematic (Discreet uses a night shuttle). Employees often work late into the night and on weekends. In pleasant weather, they enjoy sitting on the grassy slope of the neighbouring grounds for lunch; in the summertime, a volleyball net is set up behind the office for some frolicking fun.
