Rather than a surrender of technological transformations of expressions of place or vice versa, a non-dialectic relation might be sought. Working with doubt allows an acceptance of the impermanence of technological change, while opening up to metaphysical particularities of place.

Can the plurality, instantaneity, and uncertainty inherent in the perceived result of high-speed data transfer be applied to physical reality in order to shape the urban landscape? 

One could adopt an analog approach to the digital in order to do so. By creating a critical dynamic between an analog mode of building and the new digital reality of thinking and perception, the act of acquiring a heightened awareness of one's body in relation to itself and to its environment  may be exercised.
