Criticisms, suggestions and advice are always welcome. I am particularly interested in hearing from locals to Portsmouth, especially those involved with the naval base or the Victory, or those who are simply interested in local history.
Special thanks thus far to Portsmouth City Council Planning Department who have been most helpful fielding my queries. In particular, Mr. Alan Morey of the Planning Department has shown continued interest in this project and provided invaluable advice.
Regarding images: All photos and drawings, unless otherwise stated, are property of the author. Specifically, the photos of the victory and the site were all taken by myself last summer. I do not have a problem with anyone copying them, provided I am cited as their origin. Images from other sources will be kept to a minimum to avoid legal entanglements. As this is in essence a scholarly paper, I will cite them as bibliographic references, and hope that this will suffice. However, if you feel a copyright is being violated, please e-mail me so that I can make the necessary adjustments.
