Cidery

more
Project:  Design a cidery for the Mont. St-Gregore region of Quebec.

Design:   Attempts were made to link the design of the cidery and its ancillary functions with the vernacular architecture of the region, and to integrate the series of buildings naturally into the site.  The main buildings including the cidery and the house of the remueur form a natural square and open community space for the site.  The parking is placed within a forested area to minimize the impact on the natural environment.

Eurocom

more
Project:  To design a mixed use building within an active commercial street in Montreal.  The building would be the primary office for a high-tech film production company, as well it would house an art gallery, a cafe and a computer store.

Design:  The film production functions are housed in an L-shaped building, the cafe and computer store are housed in a rectangular building forming a passageway and an interior courtyard.  The art gallery is housed under ground with sky light protruding into the courtyard.  The street facade materials are corrugated and perforated steel forming a rough industrial exterior.  The facade in the interior of the courtyard is glass forming a jewel like area within the building.  The floor plans and layout is based around solar controls and efficient movement.

Hudson Community

more
Project:  Design of a community on a 60 acre lot in Hudson a suburban sub rural town in quebec.

Design:  The design of the community is based around New Urbanism principles.  The houses are placed close together, the streets follow a grid like pattern and the cars are parked in the rear of the buildings.  Tried to create a better sense of community and to have a smaller impact on the natural environment than typical construction.  The housing design attempted to relate to the vernacular architecture of the region.
