relating to the site
The
Cité du Havre is a place without a definite existence. It is
trapped between two different experiences and has therefore a surreal
aspect. It is a residential site, and the park is destined to make office
of a neighbourhood playground, more then a leisure destination.
The park is extremely hard to access. This is due in part because of
the lack of a clear to the park. It is also detached enough from the
city to make it impossible to stumble upon it. You have to know the
place to actually go there.
It is therefore possible to think that placing a cultural centre on
that site might bring more people to the Cité du Havre. Different
accesses might have to be created, like a fairy from the old port, or
a shuttle from different metro stations.
