Everyone is invited to attend this semester's academic forum! We'll be discussing how midterms went as well as concerns about particular courses or instructors. These issues will be brought up with the administration, so if you want something to change come make yourself heard on Tuesday in room 212!

Vernissage and Exposition of the work of Papineau-Gerin Lajoie-Le Blanc

Presented at the UQAM Centre of Design, the exhibition will focus on the group’s work in forging the architectural identity of modern Quebec and will run from Nov. 11 untill Jan. 17.

This call-out is open to students (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral), faculty, and alumni from ALL departments and all schools. IPLAI Art Installation Competition
Interested in having your work exposed? The IPLAI or Institute for the Public Life of Art and Ideas is launching the competition directed towards artists interested in having their work exposed.

Hypotheses Symposium at the MMFA
Hypotheses is a monthly speaker series that generates discussions designed to highlight emerging research related to the disciplines of Art History and Museum Studies. Our speakers will be Katrina Caruso (M.A. Candidate, Concordia), presenting a paper entitled From Shelter and Security to Education and Exhibition: Towards A Feminist Cold War Museum in Canada, and Vincent Marquis (M.A., Courtauld Institute), presenting a paper entitled « Les refuges des infideles et du vice » : le musee à l’ere de l’extremisme. This will be held in the Maxwell-Cummings Auditorium at the MMFA; a cocktail will follow.
